Here are some pictures from the Bungie Fanfest. I eneded up taking another day of vacation to go, and it was way more fun than work!
It was cool to just chat with the Bungie folk. Most of them were very friendly, many willing to answer all of my amazing questions as well as the dumb ones from everyone else.

This somewhat crappy panorama shows a 180 degree view of the crowd waiting to get in. There were probably 500 people in line, and another 500 or so showed up after it got going (just guesses based on the numbers on the raffle tickets). It was a typical crappy fall day in Seattle, outside one of the ugliest buildings outside of France.

While we were hanging outside some Bungie folks came out to talk to the crowd or video tape us!

Many of us waited for 3 or more hours, but it was worth it. The worst part was the HORRIBLE music that was being played over the outdoor speakers, so I asked the Bungie Princess to put on the Halo 2 soundtrack, and she DID!!!

Then, to make things even cooler, they put some folks playing multiplayer on the big screen. Suddenly, it got very quite, and everyone just stared, drooled, and tried to hide their "excitement".

Finally, they let us in and the first 250 people in line got this great shirt. I got mine signed to make it even cooler.

I also brought this poster, which everyone from Bungie was happy (or at least willing) to sign.

The guy that designed the armor drew this on the back of my poster. How cool is that!

But the best part (keep in mind, this was on the 8th) was that we all got to play Halo2 multiplayer. There were 48 separate XBOX's, each with their own TV, linked together into 4 groups. There was great music playing REAL loud, and one of the 2 bungie folks had their game playing on a the big screen.

There were lots of prizes being given away in drawings. Every hour or so they would rattle off 20 or 30 numbers and give away a ton of crap. At the end, they just started throwing things into the crowd. I got hit with a few cool items, some of which I was able to actually take home.

This dude won the coolest prize.

Some folks brought some pretty interesting stuff to get signed.

But the luckiest guy was this dude from California. His MOM flew up with him just for the Fanfest! How cool is that.
